"Bro SW is looking forward to Step Up Night at our April Regular Meeting where your Officers will demonstrate their proficiency in conferring the Fellowcraft Degree on a worthy Brother. This is an important and rewarding step both for our Candidate as well as for your Officers as they take another step in their personal Masonic journeys. Please show your support for your Brethren with a great turnout."
This month, we will be welcoming the Shrine Degree Team to conduct the 3 degree for a brother as he advances to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason. It promises to be an outstanding night and I would encourage all the members of Ionic Lodge to come out and support our Brother.
I have called for an emergent meeting where we will be passing some Entered Apprentices to the Second Degree. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody there as our Brethren progress through their Masonic Journey.

I have to thank the Brethren that relieved me of some of my duties last month when I had to, unexpectedly, travel to the Caribbean to help prepare for a hurricane, as my family lives in that region.
A lot of praise was expressed for Ottawa District 2 and Ionic Lodge in particular, we were awarded another Cornerstone Designation and commended for the restoration we have had in recent years.
The matter of importance is will he run well, prove sound, and turn out to be a stayer; and we ought to be reasonably satisfied on these points before he even crosses our threshold.
“... ensure that every Candidate accepted into the Craft is properly instructed in the fundamental principles of each Degree … to become a knowledgeable, active and participating member in his Lodge, his District and, in due course, his Grand Lodge”.
"Whether they petition our Lodge is a matter of choice, but we hope that by engaging them, they will think favourably of our Lodge and our Craft, when-ever and where-ever that may be."
