From the East: April 2018
Brethren,
I want to thank the Shrine Degree Team for Raising Bro. Balaganthan to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason. I trust it will be a memorable experience for you my Bro. Balaganthan as you continue to pursue your personal and Masonic careers.
As I write this message, I have just returned from The Bahamas where they have just installed the new District Grand Master. The festivities and the main event were well attended and a lot of cheers and good times were enjoyed by Brethren from all over the Caribbean and afar. I am grateful to the Brethren of Ionic, and the Ottawa region, who were able to make the trip - I hope it was as memorable for you as it was for me. Not forgetting Brethren that have helped me recently so that I may bring gifts on behalf of Ionic Lodge, I’m indebted to your skill and generosity. I hope that they grace Lodges in The Bahamas until time shall be no more.
Congratulations to Bro. Peter Belvedere for organizing and executing a fabulous Codfather Murder Mystery Dinner. Everybody enjoyed themselves and are looking forward to the next installment of Murder Master series.
On April 18th, St John’s Lodge will be hosting our Annual Six Lodges visit in Carleton Place. I hope to have a sizable number of Ionic Brethren there as support, as my duties as Worshipful Master are starting to slow down. Looking forward to our Regular meeting in April, I have asked Bro SW to say a few words and I echo his sentiments:
"Bro SW is looking forward to Step Up Night at our April Regular Meeting where your Officers will demonstrate their proficiency in conferring the Fellowcraft Degree on a worthy Brother. This is an important and rewarding step both for our Candidate as well as for your Officers as they take another step in their personal Masonic journeys. Please show your support for your Brethren with a great turnout."
Wishing you and your families a Happy Easter and see you in Lodge.
