Brethren,
I hope that you and yours are all doing as well as you can and are taking advantage of the more beautiful days we have had lately to breathe in some fresh air.
It is with sadness that I must pass along some sad news this month. DDGM of Ottawa District 1, Right Worshipful Brother Jeff Christie’s wife passed away last week after a battle with cancer. I have already expressed my condolences as well as those of the Lodge, but please feel free to reach out personally if you are so inclined.
Thank all the Brethren who have been regularly attending our meetings on Zoom and I would like to make you all aware of a small change to our virtual meetings. To accommodate some of our Brethren, we are going to switch platforms up a bit and try Google Meets for our Emergent Meeting this month on the 25th of February. Google meet is similar in some ways and different in others. The most significant difference is that you will require a Gmail account to log on. If you have any challenges, please contact either Brother Buelow or me and we can help you out with the process.
Aside from our social Emergent meeting, the Ottawa District 2 meeting will be held on February 22nd, also virtually at 7:30 pm with social time beginning at 7:00. If you wish to attend and do not have the login information, please reach out and I can make sure that it’s made available to you. This again will be on a different virtual platform so we are all getting the chance to hone many new skills.
While I have no specific information as it relates to when we may return to in-person meetings, hopefully, that picture will become more clear soon, it will certainly be a topic of discussion at the District Meeting.
