From the East ...
The first snow has fallen and the Solstice approaches as we gather about us our friends and loved ones for the winter season. While it is true that the Solstice brings with it the kind of long darkness representative of that lowest point of the sun’s Journey and representative of the darkest part of our human journey, the reflection of self.
It is, at the same time, representative of the very opposite. Of that point from which all directions lead toward the light, and all we must do to reach it, is continue to press forward and allow the darkness to pass. It reminds us that the darkness of the Winter Solstice, that self-reflection, is also the Navitas that brings forth new light and allows us, like the Sun, to ascend with renewed vigor to a new Zenith.
So gather about yourself your friends, and your loved ones this holiday season, share your light with them and partake of theirs. Join us at our next regular meeting in December where we will host an evening of education. Reserve your seat with us online or with the Junior Warden. On the 16th of December, we will hold our annual Holiday Dinner. The proceeds from this year’s Potluck will again support Cornerstone Housing for Women. Tickets may be purchased on our website or by contacting the secretary. On December 22nd at 7 pm, Ionic will host another virtual Festive Board to reconnect with our members in foreign lands. Join us at Ionciclodge526.com/meets or through the link on the Website.
Happy Holidays, I look forward to seeing you in Lodge,
